El Mundo Deportivo (admittedly a Barca paper) reckons if Aguero goes to Real, which Perez is desperate for, Higuaín could go for around 15 million EUROS. If Carlos does go then surely this guy would be a bargain that we couldn't turn down...

Google translate is your friend :-)

15m for the best goal poacher in the world? Can't see it but if so, bid 20m just to be safe! Top quality player.

Please please please let this happen!

Mata + Higuian = Teves replacement, only better.

If they let us play Mata and Higuain instead of Tevez I'd be delighted!

15 million ...fooks sake better keep that quiet because thats within the rags range if they sell 2 "future stars "
15 mill *shakes head*

hell yessssss, for some reason i think higuain would do better in the prem than aguero anyway and for 15 mil would be even better. CITY GET THIS DONE!!!!

If he does leave Real Madrid, which I suspect he will, he won't go for much more than £15m. £20m max. Once Real Madrid want rid of a player, they generally don't sell for a lot, VDV, Sneijder and Robben went for ridiculously low prices.

Higuain really is not that great and would not suffice as a Tevez replacement.

No way quality like Higuain goes for 15m. If they do, they're crazy.
VDV - 8m.
Robben - 18m
Sneijder - 14m.

You were saying?

I THINK (don't quote me on it) VDV was on his way to Bayern for 20 odd million then it fell through, which meant a mixture of Real wanting to sell and a tranfer dealing involving Redknapp resulted in a bargain.

Robben was sold for 25m.

Those guys weren't performing or getting playing time, though. Never heard of a first-choice striker who scores near 30 goals getting sold for 15m the next season.

I doubt this since Atletico already said they wouldn't sell to Real.

Higuain isn't first choice. Benzema is the favourite around the Bernabeu.

Higuain has been injured though, before then he was first choice and has been eased back into the first team. If they sell one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe you have to question their sanity but if we got Higuain, I wouldn't complain.

No he wouldn't, and thus I said it takes two players (Higuain and Mata) to replace Carlos, but together they would probably contribute to more goals than Tevez alone.

But the mentioned figure must be too low; maybe £15mil plus Ade? I'd take that in a split second.

The Fail have picked up on it. At that price I could see Arsenal mounting a serious bid.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City have been alerted to the news that Real Madrid may be willing to sell Gonzalo Higuain for just £15m.

The Argentina international scored 13 goals in 25 appearances last season despite four months out with a back injury.

nah, i dont think hes an arsenal type of player. Can see them bidding for benzema but not higuain. Hopefully zabba and carlos can pull some strings and make him see we are his best option, he is a top class striker and the thought of balo dzeko and higuain as striker options would send shivvers down the spine of any of europes elite, and are young enough to keep us going for years.

would love to see a player of his calibre patiently waiting on goal lines the length and bredth of the country
