Mixed feelings really. On one hand if any team in the country can go there and score goals then it is us (albeit in a bit of a barren spell at the minute by our own high standards).

Just got my doubts about Savic, I think if he plays and they target him with Carroll getting knock downs from Adam's set pieces then, though they have struggled for goals this season, we might have problems, especially the way Anfield tends to be on big nights.

Fantasy I don't think Kompany will be back, tonight was game 1, then we have Wigan away, Spurs at home and Liverpool away I think so he misses all of those. Hopefully the Ivory Coast will go out early although I am not sure of their schedule and when their first game is.

Liverpool missed a chance to win the tie by parking the bus in the 2nd half. I'd back City to score at Anfield. They wont be able to play like that in front of their own fans at Anfield, but it will be a very big game for them and they will be well up for it. Will be very difficult but a win should see us through. I'd make Liverpool marginal favourites, but it's not over

The return game is 2 weeks away - anything could happen between now and then - who would have thought Komps and Silva would be out tonight 2 weeks ago.

FFS we are not playing them tomorrow - it could be one of our greatest nights.
