There seems to be an amount of bitterness towards City at the moment, obviously stemming from envy from your new found wealth.

I personally am glad a team whos fans, like Everton... have had to endure years of heart ache and suffer having neighbours winning a fair amount! - finally have something to smile about.

Good luck lads. Perhaps your going about it in a risky manner - if it was Everton I would prefer a more cautious approach, maybe started off by going for your Lucho Gonzalez, Moutinhos first, but will be interesting to see how you do. Its nice to know that if we dont manage it, then maybe you lot end that bastard "big four" expression.

Now you have Kaka, any chance of giving us Johnson?

Cheers fella, its a shame you seem to be in a minority as god knows that top 4 sh** has got stop and hopefully it will.
Your more than welcome to Johnson as he has disappeared off the face of the earth, perhaps we can have Lescott in a swap? I agree with your sentiments and who knows if the corrupt premier league allows it you could break top 4 this season.

cheers and thanks for no bitterness which is obviously getting from most but may i say that you say that you personally would prefer a much more cautious approach, believe me if you actually had the money at your club like we have you would want it straight away bearing in mind our trophy cabinet for the last 30 yrs, good luck for the rest of the season and yes you can have jonno for arteta and lescott

Not bad for a dipper!!

Hmm, I'm not sure about that.

Everton have a wage cap of £55,000pw. No matter what, that isn't exceeded by anyone. Arteta, Lescott, Yakubu, Cahill etc are all on £55,000. It keeps the boat steady and ensures a good backroom. I am not sure how over-inflated player egos (that goes for 99% of most players) could react to their peers earning so much more money?

Evertons "playing for the team" approach has put us in good stead for some time. I mean, David Moyes has spent £8m since his time here (when you deduct transfers received) and we havent done too bad.

Patience sometimes is the key. But than again, I suppose if you have a team of Kakas and Robinho - it doesnt matter! haha

Cheers, hopefully we'll replace Liverpool in the CL spots for you and shut up that Alison Rudd nobend from the times podcast. She said everton were 'nothing' to Liverpool reently i couldn't believe the disrespect. And she doesn't sound like a scouser to me, just a fashion fan.

There's no way Kaka will be on £500k if he signs - it'll be closer to £200k. Still, he'll comfortably be the highest paid player in the squad, and if other players take issue with that, I suggest they take it up with the board when they've achieved what he has.

I hope so mate. I really do. Not that £200k is much better, but its more inline with say, Steven Gerrards £150k a week he needed to decide to remain at his boyhood club, instead of Chelsea!

£500k just isn't right really is it when you consider most fans will be struggling to pay for their tickets.

But that said, at least them fans will be watching world class players ay.
