Good old fashioned pitch invasion

For me the best was Blackburn away 99/00. Looked like 3/4 of the stadium were City fans.

It was like a home game. I know the Rags took the piss for a few years about us saying how many went to that game, but there really were fucking loads of us there!

They stopped taking the piss when they said they’d take more when they won their 19th title there in 2011, but we shat on their numbers.

Luton last match of the season in 1975(?) was a far from friendly invasion.

Not wrong there mate !! Hot day and an even hotter atmosphere with the Old Bill forming a line on the half-way line and the back and forth advances and retreats by the Luton nutters........!! Carried on outside too

The middle picture.. looks like the city end in the back ground so the foreground is the blckburn end. As many coming from that than the city end

as an aside, we went in a pub near the ground after. Blackburn pub but it was jovial enough. Sat with a few who were ok til one said , “anyway, you lot have took the piss all day, you can fuck off now”. We were too happy to argue :))
Driving home via the back roads via manchester to avoid the motorway, somewhere between blackburn and bury, we literally turned a corner to see a pub with a HUGE city flag draped on the side, in we pulled to find a bouncing pub owned by a blue? Fuck knows where. Party time!!
there for an hour and back to the george in cheadle to finish off my 2nd best day ever supporting City

(shivers typing that )

Shambles square later on was rocking when we all got back great day that

Away end for blckburn but was in the bradford end. 14 years old so keeping shtum but when tricky trevor scored half the stand went up.
There was huge packs of blues in the bradford kop end and in the seats on both sides

could tell driving over thr tops and into bradford that day that we were taking over the town
Bradford kop for me too. Like you said loads of Blues in there.

Not quite a pitch invasion. But mid 70s last game of the season at maine Rd. We'd all run on the pitch and walk around the edge of the pitch with scarves in the air. Past the platt Ln Kippax North std. Omg proper cringeworthy.

Remember one city fan was on the pitch fronting them on his own, ginger haired lad I think from Salford,he went everywhere in them days,Luton chased us all back to the station.

Coventry away in the cup.

I think we beat them 2-1, Gary Flitcroft scored the winner from memory. We were in the Coventry end and got sussed out. Had to run across some strange roof thing alongside the pitch and instigate a mini pitch invasion at the final whistle to get away.

Them was the days.
