Stoke 0 Villa 0, cracking result for us today IMO, I fully expected Villa to win this maybe 1-0.
I expected Spurs to win as well so that was no suprise but as long as we can pick up the 3 pts tomorrow then the gap will start to appear between us and the rest. So 2pts dropped by Villa now its up to us to look after ourselves and just take these little extras when they come along.

if anyone drops any points around us its always an added bonus. we have to win our games starting with sunderland. we really should beat sunderland and if we do we will be in a very good position.

With all the good feelings and positive messages coming from the club this week lets hope the players maintain the momentum from the chelski result

spurs beating blackburn was to eb expected.....

villa drawing at stoke shows how hard they are to play

we have to expect that liverpool despite being poor at the moment wil beat pompey on Monday

We MUST beat Sunderland to keep the pressure on spurs......i dont care about the game in hand its irrelevant if we dont beat sunderland.

Mancini must send out a team to win.....not contain and sit and hit on the counter attack or hope that tevez has a stormer again.....we must be positive

Please please Bobby send out a positive team!!!!!

Means fuck all if we lose tomorrow.

It's in our hands we must win all our home games and at least draw our away games.

we must win some of our away games - fulham burnely and west ham are games we must go and win

we wont beat arsenal at the emirates (cannt see it anyway) but a draw there would be good

we have 3 very tough home games whee we cannt say we ar definately going to get wins - utd, villa and spurs so we must make sure we first dont lose those 3 and secondly we pick up more than draws away

We've just won at Stamford Bridge, we can win anywhere.

I really don't fear playing Arsenal one bit, home or away. To be honest, i'm probably more confident about playing them than Sunderland.

All the teams vying for 4th will drop points the rest of the season. Just keep in touch and take care of our own business. How good would it be if the Spurs match is the Wed. before the last match of the season??? Oh we could ahve it wrapped up by then-NOT!!

Spurs may be well out of the title race but their 3-1 win over Blackburn has allowed them to remain in real contention for a Top Four finish. At 3.6 they're the same price as Liverpool but behind Man City who are the 2.5 favourites to clinch the last remaining Champions League spot with Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal virtual shoo-ins.

Off Betfair tonight

I took Spurs @ 5/1 a few weeks back. Going to be close.

Looks like every match involving 1 of the teams going for 4th place will bring a good or bad result for us thread. I can't wait:)

Blackburn's loss to Spurs today decreases Blackburn's threat to our place in 4th, Jurassic Park!

spurs were odds on to beat blackburn. I assume the market took that into account, so I don't see how this result really changes things. unless they break the habit of a lifetime and do well against the top four, they are surely 3rd, if not 4th favourite.

Villa result must be down to their negative tactics and seria a defensive mentality!

If only that Oneil would try to attack once in a while!
hah. at least we scored against them, eh!

I completely disgree. We should play to our strengths, namely solid containment and hitting the opposition hard on the breaks. We have the pace and skill to execute such a policy, whereas trying to dominate (like Spurs do) is not the best way for our team to win matches, especially away from home.

They're all big games for us from now on in but the Spurs game is the biggest of the lot.
Would be fantastic to win that game but it's vital that we don't lose, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world tbh.

I'm happy if we set up exactly the same way as we did against Chelsea. That wasn't a win borne out by luck or Tevez having a stormer, it was a win at the hardest away ground to play at simply because we matched up well and outplayed the likely champions.

To go gung ho from the outset, as some seem to want would be foolish. We now have a manager that can change things during the match as the situation warrants.

Will you be hapy if we perform the same in the first 40 minutes and are 1 down?

And don't answer with as long as we score 4 after that bla bla. We cannot play as crap as that and go behind and expect to win many games. We have to be more positive from the start.

Yes if we can win there why not.
