Thank you.

This poem is concerning the death of American president Abraham Lincoln. Somehow I feel some of the words are relevant to RD moving on. The job is almost done. Best of Luck Richard; you will be missed.

O Captain My Captain
a poem by Walt Whitman

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Weirdo

good luck dunnie monster.....thanks for the memories (some good some bad). a great servant, but not QUITE good enough for where we are heading

It's still a shock that he's gone, used to love watching him sprint across the field to knock a player into the stands. He was our main man through the hard times and good luck to him at villa, can't wait to give him a good reception when we play villa.

Goodbye Richard Dunne
Though I never knew you at all
You had the pace to upend Tuncay
While those around you crawled

And it seems to me, you scored your goals
For the oppositions team
Never knowing who to turn to
When the ball came in

Best of luck Dunney, all of a sudden I find myself hoping Villa do well.

Farewell Dunnie Monster and good luck in your new career...hopefully you will be a mate and have an off-day when Villa next play City as you won't need to prove anything to anybody. You have been one of our top three players for four consecutive years, no question.
