I hate this program, and i hate the way Ramsey is now known as a nice guy, i wonder how many young chefs have left his kitchens on the edge of a nervous breakdown or become alcoholics after serious bullying etc, and how many lives he has ruined.

many years ago , i worked in a restaurant on deansgate as a sous chef . the head chef was a 'gordon ramsey' type of bloke .
i always wonder , after headbutting him and walking out , if he ever changed the way he spoke to people he worked with ?
was expecting a 'knock at the door' from the dibble , but that never materialised .

On holiday a few years ago and we made friends with another family and the Dad was a chef. He talked about Gordon Ramsey and told a story about a friend of his who worked in one of Ramseys restaraunts. Apparently as a fully trained chef he was told just to peel and chop carrots constantly. On his second day he jacked it.
I asked "if chefs and staff at Ramseys restaraunts were treated in such a fashion how does he get anyone to work for him?"
The reply was "It's like the SAS, If you can stay there for a few years, it shows you can put up with anything and it looks briliant on your CV"
