Grans Funeral on Derby Day

My condolences also mate, I would say though, be wary of having a fatalistic mentality.

I went through a similar thing, my grandad died minutes before kick-off for the carling cup semi first leg against United. The funeral was on the second leg. He was a huge City fan and everybody was saying it was 'fate' and that we would beat United for him. So much so that I believed it myself, I was so nervous I must have drank a whole barrel of ale that day.

Well we all know what happened next.

I was inconsolable but my cousin just broke down, it was all a bit too much for him. One of the worst days in living memory for me.

So be hopeful mate, I'm sure it might be different for you, but prepare yourself for the worst. Good luck.
