Hell... needs me
Hello,

just after a bit of help from someone who may be a bit more tech savvy than myself. Hardware aint my strong point.

I've had a problem with my PC. It's one of these custom-built efforts from PcSpecialist. Anyway, I was on the PC the other day when the screen went blank and the speaker built into the motherboard gave off a long beep and then two short beeps. I've had a bit of a look about and think this si down to video or RAM.

I've swapped the memory sticks inside the PC and that hasn't helped. Now I'm moving onto the graphics card and seeing if there's anything wrong with that.

I've never taken out a graphics card before and wondered if there's any special tools or things I need to do (is there any levers that keep the card seated) etc? Or if anyone knows of a website that may help with instructions on the removal and re-fitting of the bastard twatting thing?

Cheers much.

all you need is a phiilips head screw driver mate

turn off pc and unplug from mains

open up side of case by unscewing the screws and sliding side of case backwards

lie pc down on its side so you can work on the graphics card

now on the rear of the case (where you plug your monitor cable in) will be a screw holding in the graphics card, unscrew this

now look at the rear of the slot (on the motherboard) the graphics card is plugged into and there should be a little sliding catch, slide this back and the graphics card will pull upwards out of the slot

to replace just reverse the above
