Grealish left out of the CWC squad (pg34)

What's this book value. I heard on YouTube that united would need £30m for Antony to break even and £38m for Hoilund to break even. How much do we need for Grealish?
 
Grealish will not play for City ever again. We hope to sell him this window - or loan him with an obligation/option to buy. His wages complicate matters.

In turn, Grealish is incentivized to move. He'd be wise to accept an offer where he'd start for a top club albeit with a reduction in wages. Presumably Grealish would want to make the England squad for the WC... which would motivate him to move on.

Got to play hardball with him. No loaning out our record buy until his contract is up, a straight sale or he stays put. we have a homegrown spot free right now so it doesnt hurt us to have an extra man in the squad. If he wants to play regularly and has any ambition of going to thr world cup he can help facilitate a permanent move away by lowering his wage demands.
 
His role in the squad was perfect for him. He held out wide left, never ever lost the ball and would defend when needed. This created all the space for the likes of Kev & Gundo or even Foden to exploit, it was near impossible to stop that overload.

Since a change in tactics. He’s basically obsolete. I’ve never ever fancied him centrally but I do believe he should have been more of a go there especially this season. it perhaps he just wasn’t physically or mentally prepared for that.

If he gets a decent move to a less rigid front foot team. He may recover his mojo. But I think the treble saw him lose the desire required.
Perhaps proving everyone wrong is the fuel he needs now.
 
can see this become quite strange and he is still here late August, any buyers may think let City pay his salary for 2-2.5 more months which is a decent amount overall, by that point our asking price will halve as well and it will be more about loans than permanent transfers.
hope it doesnt get to the point that we hear rumours of Milan and Juventus asking for him with us paying 80% of salary but they agree to a 15m euros option to buy which is not mandatory...
