The leftist agenda at the Beeb and C4 have paved the way for this kind of shite.

Spot on, I very rarely watch TV myself these days....but at the head of the snake is without doubt the British Bolshevik Corporation.

Reduced to slurping adulation by the Barack Obama of the day, John F. Kennedy, it savaged conservative politicians and institutions wherever it could find them.

He's wrong on that one.

Political satire does involved the Conservatives, but it's not limited to them. There's been plenty of satire making fun of left-wing politicians on parties from what I've seen of The Late Edition, Mock the Week, HIGNFY and heard on the likes of The Now Show and The News Quiz.

It's there, it's just whether you choose to see it.

Clearly, Mr. Hitchens doesn't want to.

I agree with you to an extent, however you can not deny that their is a very obvious left wing agenda across the media in this country. The BBC, CH4, The Guardian, The Independant etc etc. It is getting to the point where if you have a different view from 'the masses' on Iraq, religion, politics, human rights etc you are looked at as an extremst.

Yes I can: The Sun, The Mail, The Express, Sky News, Channel 5, ITV, The Star, The Torygraph, The Times, Metro... All those papers sell more than the Guardian and the Indy, by the way (though not sure about the Star).

The idea of there being a 'leftist agenda' is just as ludicrous as there is being a 'right-wing agenda'.

It's (big) government propaganda. Plain and simple. Hence, why I no longer own a TV. In this day and age, you don't need one anyway.

Me neither. Most of the stuff on tv is rubbish anyway.
