Its Guinness time any day of the week.
WOW just got a call from my local Hospital (Leighton, Crewe) to see if I am available for my hip op. on Monday 9th December.
Apparently I was pushed to the front of the queue due to the time scale of waiting 16/17 months to see a Consultant and the severity of my arthritis and bone on bone issues.
After seeing the Consultant only a few days ago, he said it would be another 6-8 months before I would be seen.
Does/did anyone else get/got a feeling of pure joy, on hearing this sort of news, especially with it being quite a major operation ?
Might be able to get on the dance floor on New Years Eve. ;)
One delighted Oakie.

Delighted for you Oakie hope it goes well for you Liam Gallagher just had both hips replaced because of severe pain I believe the pain is the hardest part so hope the operation makes you better KB

Brilliant news. That is an early Christmas present for you. Yyyyeeeessss…. I feel as I did when John Stones scored a last second goal. :-) :-)

Happened to me a few years ago. I was booked in to have an op on my left foot mid August, got a phone call in early June saying they've had a cancellation and am I available next week. Was perfect timing, if I'd had the op in August I would of probably missed 3 months of the season. If you watch Aguero's debut, just as he getting ready to come you can see me gingerly standing up in my orthopedic boot to clap him on in the front row of the family stand. After that, every op I've had since, with the consultant knowing I'm a season ticket holder has been done soon as the season was over. To the point of during a pre op appointment he asked it I had a date to my next op, to which I replied no but can if be after the champions league final as I was hoping to go. Think we were playing Real Madrid in our first semi final that week. He actually rung up his secretary in front of me telling her not to book it until after the final.

Good luck Oakie
