Rodney Marah played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies during the old NASL days. In 1976 they were due to play in the league championship against the NY Cosmos. He set up a plan with his team mates to provide a limo filled with booze and nice looking ladies to wear out Pele and Giorgio Chinaglia. It worked and the Rowdies won the next day with both opposing stars worse for wear.

Sounds unbelievable , but if Rodney Marsh was involved quite possible , he enjoyed his time in the USA so much he stayed there , most skilful player i have ever seen and the biggest waste of talent , Balotelli is probably the nearest comparison to him i have seen in modern day football , sublime skills ,but a nutcase.
