Greatest front man to a band

Lux Interior
I wasn’t necessarily a huge fan of everything The Cramps did, but I was always a huge fan of Lux. Their appearance on The Tube in 1986 was simply phenomenal and earlier this year someone uploaded to YouTube a version with two extra songs that were not shown on the show, as it was live and the programme ended during their third song.

Climbing the speaker stack drenched in red wine and just a pair of gold undies , what a trooper.

I used to watch that performance on the Tube over and over on VHS tape. Didn’t know about the two extra songs and so will view that clip later.

It’s the greatest live tv performance I have ever seen.

This is also sublime:

Saw them live twice and they were brilliant both times. Think the gig in Manchester was the one that Morrissey famously wrote about.

The Fall doing Smile on the Tube is another favourite.
