Greece v England - Thu 14th Nov '24 | UEFA Nations League

'quite' an enjoyable game tonight tbh, made a change, Rico and Walker did ok with Rico going close to a goal, let's no go all spursy and fk it up on Sunday

Good game I thought

Question - comms on tv confidently saying if Eng beat ROI they are top of the group. But if Greece beet Finland (which they will everyone does) by a bigger goal margin then they do right?

  1. higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
  2. superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
  3. higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
England need to beat Ireland and then any of the permutations they are top.

The trolls are out on the BBC, apparently Foden underperforms and Walker is well past it. Foden was one of the few who put in the effort in the Euros, Walker played well tonight. I was impressed with Lewis but the ITV commentators hardly gave him a mention
Don’t go on a matchday thread as that is tame to what many have said recently about Lewis and Walker recently.

Both played well tonight and especially Lewis. Great young talent who should be a big player for City for years to come

England needed to score more than two to guarantee that as long as they do better than Greece they are promoted.
I don't think that's right mate as long as England win any win will do, don't think goal difference counts just the head to head against greece the only side could finish level if we win. Could be wrong though often am :-)
