Can somebody please help? All the websites I have looked at state that Newton Heath played in green and yellow not green and gold. Even when the marketing department of Ushited brought out a replica kit in the 90's it was marketed as a green and yellow kit. Has it now been changed to gold because it rhymes with sold and fold or is it the usual crap from Pete Boyle and his cronies of never let the facts get in the way of a good story?

Getting on a virgin train the morning after a united home match was a big mistake. It was fucking packed.

I would have a guess at green and yellow till the club is sold isnt very catchy

other than that they are just c*nts

Gold sounds better than yellow.

I look forward to Nike producing a limited edition green and yellow kit next season...

I still believe it's rather humourous that they believe if they do get bought out it will save their bacon.

The 'Red knits' or whatever they are called are just an exercise in PR for themselves, only a truly idiotic fool would think of buying them out.

My only fear is that when they do, if they do, they will sell it to someone who actually has money and not just magic shiney beans, however, the rags will probably soon get bored with there new scarves and hats and we'll see them being sold off in an episode of Eastenders soon.

Delia, give us a wave!

would be good!

or everyone shouting, where are you!.... lets be avin you!....... comon!

how good would that be if we all did that in correct split second timing! lol

or we could sing:

hark now hear the ipswich sing
the norwich ran away
and we will fight forever more
because of derby day!

To the 'Fergie Fergie sign him up' tune...

Let's be, 'avin you.
Let's be let's be 'avin you.

Ironic that Newton Heath were vertually bankrupt on the verge of going bust until the meeting in a pub and the change of name

Or...

You are the Pride of East Anglia, the shit of the south, to the tune of their pride of all europe bollocks

The Lancashire and Yorkshire railway painted their engines green and had much polished brass, hence giving the green and gold / yellow colours. Some irish descended fans like to think its part of the irish heritage of the club, but they are wrong.

So was it green and gold or green and yellow. Pretty much all the reputable sites i.e. not wiki say green and yellow. Nike's replica kit was green and yellow so where does the gold shite come from.........
