Used various options on Google but none seem to work.

Have you tried to disable or enable 3d acceleration?
Launch Chrome, then select “Menu” > “Settings“. Scroll down to the bottom and select the “Advanced” option. Scroll to the “System” section and toggle “Use hardware acceleration when available” on or off as desired.
Would you not just use the YouTube app, rather than a browser?
Tried it again but didn't seem to work.
Found that one but couldn't find that section in the settings, might be because my phone is four years old budget Huawei (P20 lite).
I've got it working again now after uninstalling chrome browser and updating it.

Yeah… that’s such an annoying ‘feature’, uninstalled many many years ago because of it.Means I wouldn't be able to watch YouTube videos on this website though.
Nowt wrong with those Huawei phones mate, it's scary how much the new models cost and how hyped they are.
Maybe try Xiaomi next time, I got a Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro in the summer of last year and it's lovely.Agree, nowt wrong. My next upgrade would be one if they still had Google play.
