This is the bigger picture I go on about. Other clubs will have managers that come and go...resulting in a change of style and tactics.

Pep was given the option, and has taken it, to create Manchester City in his own image. Barcelona was never in Pep’s image as it is forever known as Cruyff’s style that is played. Bayern was never Pep’s team as it was regarded as Heynckes team.

In 20, 30 or 40 years ex-players, pundits and fans alike will be able to look back and pin point this moment in time as the birth of our new identity. Manchester City playing football the Guardiola way from the first team down to the academy.

Call it the birth of the dynasty if you want, but this is just the beginning. Our identity has been witnessed this season. In Pep’s words this team wont be fully in his mould until the 3rd season. The lasting effect left when Pep eventually calls it a day, will be that whoever takes over wont change the style of how we play the game they will only (in Pep’s words) re-paint it.

This is our new identity, Guardiola’ imprint, Manchester City

Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to have him as our manager.

When pep leaves the club should get someone who believes in this style of play and I've got a feeling I know who it will be

    The chosen one
    Moysie

The word "genius" is often bandied about far too quickly and often without much merit......

Pep is a genius and make no mistake about it.
