Guardiola confirms intention to stay at City for next two years P123

Have no idea about this specific story, but generally football journalism seems to have completely different standards from the rest of journalism.

You're allowed to spread rumours, state things as 'fact' with no evidence, contradict yourself on a weekly basis, ignore any facts that don't suit your viewpoint, show blatant bias against players or teams you don't like, etc.

He's only had 2 jobs. One was 4 years, one was 3. This current contract takes him until 5 seasons. There's no precedent set yet and I don't think he's ever intended to be only a 3/4 year kinda manager. It's just how it's turned out so far.

Yeah, the "he only does 3/4 years" is a lot like how United fans and journo's would tell us he only went to "historic clubs" like Barca and Bayern. If Pep is happy and the job isn't done, he will stay.

As much as I love Pep and would give him a contract for life, I just can't see it. We can offer him everything in the world, but he's renowned for only doing 3-4 years. The current deal he's on expires in 2021, so I imagine that's when we'll see him go. I don't think the press seemingly turn in on us is helping the case either, especially not when pricks like Harris ask questions like he did on the weekend.

Agree with this. Sounds mad but the club should be focussing on life without Pep now. Arteta probably the favourite to take over but the nature of the joint announcement re Vinnie might mean he is in the frame if he does a good job at Anderlecht?

If not, I suppose we could always make do with Klopp ;-)

I hope it’s true, but the fucking current bun, I even check the date on that rag. Still hope they’re right this time.
