Guardiola to Axe Kompany (Various Sources)

But also, perhaps Pep has an eye on a leader coming in and needs to remove the old head of the tribe to make room. We desperately need a real leader on the pitch for all games and we just don't have one.
Yes as we saw again on Wednesday

He is too tall for Pep and can head the ball too well. We can't have good headers in our defense unless they are 5'11" or below. Keepers also need to be 6' or under so they have a low centre of balance for passing the ball out.

Lol.
What he doesn't think that pep is scared of some players and their influence.?
Niave at best.
I dont think Pep is scared, that doesnt make sense, cautious and wary would be better words

However,i do think he believes the tail shouldnt wag the dog and, even though there is no evidence to suggest that is even the case at our club.......i would be in full support of him weeding out of such a scenario.

No individual is bigger than the team, that simply isnt healthy.

Pep needs to be given the tools and the time to implement his ideas,it was never going to be a ten minute job - thats what's naive.

I saw this last night,it has come from the Mirror and the others have picked up on vinny,i'd rather wait for something more reliable to confirm it
@karen7 regardless of whether it's in the Mirror, Sun and Daily Sport, it's time to let go. It's costing us as we a) don't replace with a top drawer replacement as they wonder are they in and out once he's fit. or b) we buy inferior players who know they'll only get game time when he's out injured.

I love Vinnie, Zab, Yaya, Aguero etc but if we want to be at the top we can't be sentimental, when they become not good enough, too old, or injury prone then it's time to say thanks but goodbye.
Harsh though it may be it's time for new heroes.

Are you suggesting that the club has finally realised it's mistake in letting certain players demand they get rid of Mancini? The soft underbelly coincided with the departure of Mancini. It seems that the players now being got rid of, are the same ones who were supposedly involved in his sacking.

I'm suggesting that Pep is right to fuck off players who maybe had an inflated idea of their ability/worth/position at the club. Especially as they're now coming to the ends of their respective careers.

Didn't even try. Shipped him out as soon as he could. I'm willing to give Pep the benefit of the doubt though. He's the gaffer and he obviously sees a bigger picture. I expected it to take a year for things to start working properly, so whilst it's disappointing, I didn't expect us to win the league this year.
Joe can't play his football.

It doesn't matter how good or bad he is or how much or little leadership he has, that disqualifies him from playing for the club.

If we had Andy Carroll on the books and he was not only the biggest yes man but also a City legend who scored a goal a game for us he'd be gone too because he doesn't play our football.

I don't know under what pretence people wanted us to keep Hart upon. He'd never be on the pitch, he'd be the third choice keeper. If we all love him so much like everyone is making out, is that what you want for him? To throw his international career away and rot not even in the reserves because we should hoard players?

He didn't need to handle Joe because he was going. He has handled Yaya though, and Kompany, and Zab and Aguero, and all of those who are fit are performing for him.

So not only has he not thrown out these dressing room leaders but instead he's got them playing for their places for the first time in 5 years. That's leadership.

Perhaps it's the club wanting to not get into a Chelsea / Leicester situation when the players take over and decide to down tools.
I think we saw it last year and in Mancini's final season especially in the Wigan cup final and if we go back to Sven's time, the 8-1 at Boro.

Maybe part of the deal to get Pep on board and they've decided to let Pep get shut of any that he isn't happy with, no matter who.
Not saying that Hart, Aguero and Vinny are necessarily troublemakers but could be part of it.

Why not do it at the time and back the manager who took the banner down at the swamp? Oh, I keep forgetting that he wasn't their man.

Do you actually post anything apart from utter bollocks? You know how big Boateng or Pique are?

If Vinnie was 100% fit and there was no guarantee he'd break down he'd be playing, fuck me he got injured in training only 3 weeks ago after being declared fit a few days earlier, he's finished at the top level and has been for a couple of seasons sadly.

People need to face the reality and stop living in cloud fucking cuckoo land.

Agree.

It's pressie day today, they can no longer ask him about refs and Kun and they can't quiz him on any football tactics so the rag hacks first question will be ........
