Guess the sporting occasion from the commentary

That was a cracker. Almost as good as the South American commentator who came up with

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool !!!!!!!

I might be one or two 'o's' short!!

Yep.
Slightly disappointed it only got the 1 comedy porn related reply though. Thought I'd picked one that lent itself nicely to that!

I was in a hospital bed with 2 broken legs watching that. Not a motor racing fan but loved walkers unashamedly bias commentary.

His commentary was also, i think, broadcast to many ther english speaking countries and im sure he also said something along the lines of
“South africa, new zealand, australia, i know youre all watching but hes our boy... he british”.
Got summat in my eye

Oh wow! In your life have you seen anything like that

TIger on 16? at the Augusta National playing on Sunday at masters probably 2002ish just as the ball dropped in the hole from one of the greatest golf chips of all time. One of the most iconic sports moments ever, the ball teetering on the edge with the nike tick showing for what felt like a minute before finally dropping.

I love this game, better than the films rubbish.

"One of the hits from the Malcolm Allison songbook"

Wasn't that Gerald Sinstadt when Colin Bell equalised at 2-2 in the classic Maine Road derby of November 1971 (which eventually finished 3-3)?

Got to be John Arlott, Eng v Windies.
Best Arlott commentary was a Sunday league match featuring Hampshire, who had bowler John Rice and Andy Murtagh in the side. Murtagh was, at the time, the only Irishman in county cricket.
Rice delivers and the ball is played gently to Murtagh at mid on.
Arlott " Thats a case of Rice Bowls and Paddy fields".

My favourite Arlott quote was his description of a Clive Lloyd boundary off Dennis Lillee in the 1975 World Cup final as "the stroke of a man knocking a thistle top off with a walking stick".
