saw a video of the searchers performing needles and pins.
the guitarists held their instruments high up on the chest, almost under the chin.
i recalled how a lot of 60's bands did that.
then i got to thinking about some heavy metal bands in the 70's, they had their guitars slung really low down....almost out of bleeding reach!

is it a genre thing?.... an era thing or what?

how do you hold yours?

I hold mine about the same as Eric Clapton which seems the mosr popular, Ive no idea how you play it round your knees..

we have Blues jams on Sunday Arvo and one of my mates is an ex Searcher I'll ask him about that.

I think though most players hold it where it feels comfortable, over you stomach usually like Hendrix, Clapton etc etc, I think the low slung guitar is done for effect usually with metal players
