@Bill Walker - apologies for covering old ground but please can we delve slightly deeper into the Rory Strat that you played at some point?

Do you remember whether it was one of the original 40 'master' (probably cost about £25k+ rocking horse shit ones) built ones or the further produced from circa 2004 onwards circa £3.5-5k ones)?

I'm really enjoying playing my Mexican strat (I don't even touch my US made one), managing to get a decent Rory sound out of my Marshall (basically just remove most of the bass, treble and gain high) but still wondering just how much better it can get........!?! :-)

One of the cheaper ones, but the best strat I've ever laid hands on.
I've owned srv and Clapton strats and they weren't a patch on the Rory.
Played like butter, whatever that means.
