Gundogan as an attacking midfielder

Can any of the Gundo fans explain his actions for the third goal. Challenges Henderson and then lets him go and tells Angelino to take him. It was shocking that we allowed that cross.

Glad you saw that! I pointed that out here also

The Henderson cross was a tricky one and I can't really blame Angelino for this one, watch the build up to the goal and you would see that Gundogan made it seem like he was going to close in on henderson, so Angelino took a couple steps back and went towards the box, only for Gundogan to abandon the chase and then take some steps back towards the same direction Angelino was heading towards!

And Bravo could've read it better.

And Walker could have jumped. It was a good cross but most of the crosses don’t make it that far to make it look good.

We are a mess at the back this season. Every side looks like scoring every-time they attack. Injuries have fucked us over for sure but some of the stuff we are witnessing at the back is schoolboy stuff.

Couldn't agree more, Pep has obviously lost all faith in the Otamendi/Stones partnership, deciding to put a defensive midfielder in there instead, has no faith in Garcia or any young player from the academy in prem matches for that matter. Our defence will cost us plenty more points this season, oh for a fit Vinny to still be here.

He had lost faith last season in those two and rightly so. The mystery is why we didn’t replace Vinny. It was a terrible decision and it is going to cost us in the league. If we don’t buy in Jan it will also cost us in the CL. You can maybe get away with covering one position( which we have done for two years at LB) but not two at the back and neither Stones nor Otamendi are good enough. The loss of Laporte has killed us and it shouldn’t have been the case.

I agree with all of that apart from Stones. He is not as good as Laporte or VK, but he is good enough for our squad. He played good today imo.
