Sweet and salty is a good flavour combination and there’s no reason it shouldn’t work on pizza.

People who whinge about it are just bandwagon jumping attention seekers.

The pairing of salty pork with sweet fruit has existed since the 2nd century AD for the very simple reason that it's delicious as fuck.

Pinepple pizza, prosciutto and melon, figs and parma ham, Orange glazed ham, caramelised onions and hotdogs, gammon and pineapple....

I hate it on a pizza - Mrs loves it. PMSL when in Tenerife she ordered an Hawaiian pizza and instead of pineapple it had banana on it lol. Interestingly it entered the Icelandinc political discourse a few years ago
