friendship with other clubs and visiting their matches is quite usual in germany

But you were visiting our club and not Rangers. I really feel that you are making excuses, unless you can correct me on this 'arrangement'.

sorry, i am not a hsv supporter, but schalke. We have friendship with Twente of Holland, they are sometimes around to watch our matches and i guess, they would support us especially if we play some team in Holland. Think it´s just the same with HSV and Glasgow.

I can understand clubs having a friendship, it's just the Old Firm are a pair of scummy clubs and i can't see why others would want to be associated with them. I'll be quiet now before this escalates into another OF thread.

Rangers like to think they have a link with City so was suprised to see at least 4 Rangers flags in the HSV end. They'll tag along with anyone for a row. There was a mob of young City yobs held in a pub at the back of Piccadilly whilst the Hamburger fans were escorted up and they looked liked theyd been planning an attack. Me and my pal walked right past the Hamburger lot and they were just chanting...most were behind the coppers and a few in front...and most had scarves on. We we're shouting City at em and they never troubled us. I think it s a German thing to all march to the ground en masse and I think they had planned it....not sure they we're really out for trouble..if they wanted a scrap they could have just wandered down to shambles and started something. More just bravado than anything too sinister.
The same group of City yobs were chasing a group of Hamburg fans after the game near Piccadilly.
Anyone notice that there were a lot of empty seats in the top tier of the Hamburg end....not sure why they wanted 6000!

got told this after game (couldnt see 2nd tier of the ss) would have been a bit daft if we'd have given them 6'000

yep about 200 or so empty seats in a big block in the top left (as you looked) of their upper section

Celtic have a friendship with St Pauli and even sell some of their merch in some Celtic stores, because the two sets of fans are like minded when it comes to politics and all that. Rangers started making links with Hamburg to make themselves feel more adequate because everyone hates Rangers.

Is the reason why they sing Real Madrid to Barca fans too, because of the Celtic-Barca links, again, similar politics.

If Hamburg fans wanted a scrap they only had to go down to Shambles; the place was crawling with City and Hamburg fans in every pub in that area, didn't see a peep of trouble and I was around there for a good 4 hours after bumping into a mate.

Typical Rangers scum.

agree, we made no secret of where we were if they really wanted trouble all they had to do was look for where all the noise was coming from ... you could hear it from miles away
