Hank Aaron has passed away

Baseball lost a legend today in Hank Aaron who is arguably the greatest player ever. In 1974 Hank broke Babe Ruth's record with his 715th home run a record that nobody ever dreamed could be broken. Aaron did this while receiving countless letters threatening his life because he was a Black man. Hank was never bitter about his treatment despite growing up in the Jim Crow south.

To put his career in perspective he finished with 755 HRs and 3,771 hits. Even without his unbelievable HR total he still would have been a Hall of Famer because of his 3,000+ hits. The world is a little more empty today without him.

Not a baseball fan but I've never heard of him, suppose it's because he wasn't in the right skin colour group, I'd have guessed Babe was the all time record holder.

Never heard of him but can appreciate the sport has lost one of their greats
