Happy 50th Birthday Michel Vonk...

One of my earliest memories was the abandoned Ipswich game, I remember, as a small child being really confused about why the game hadn't lasted long and my dad going off his head at the ref!

A hero as soon as I saw him for kicking Nigel Clough as soon as he came on the pitch in one of his first games.

Named my daughter ' Michelle' after the Dutch maestro but his soft header back in the Derby led to them coming back from 2 down to win 3 2. Still one of worst feelings I ve got after a City game

Met vonky in toffs nightclub isle of man pre season tour was stood with him, rocky and rosler + others can't remember ad great night

I’ll never forget Vonky poking home the second and winning goal against QPR in the FACup at loftus road early 90s, away end rammed and plenty of city in qpr end, some on the pitch at end. Great away day.
White got the 1st. Nearly broke the fucking net. Vonk's was soon after and both met with mayhem in the away end(s). Rammed behind the goal and at the side. I remember walking out of the ground thinking, "maybe, just maybe this could be our year". Think we then played Barnsley and won. then Spurs. And lost.
