Harry Kane

Please stop you are actually just waffling. If kane has not been tested at the top then who has?
And that was a good save on Thursday btw.
Not talking about the goalie save there was a chance like I posted where there was just a player in the middle of the goal ball fell to Kane all he had to do was pass it to the left of the player and it’s a goal he panicked rushed it hit the player! Score that spurs a through that’s a big moment.
Kane is a fantastic player at spurs at a club where he has to deliver we don’t know so we if he will.

So there is actually no player we can get then because I am sure there is no top club that is going to sell us their striker.

what’s that got to do with my post? Haaland or Kane I’ll be delighted with! will Haaland be the next world class striker at the moment he looks it if his figures the same in a couple of seasons you say then he is. Kane proved himself in the premier and would score shitloads for us.

No thanks. Boat has sailed surely on this one? Hes nearly 28 and has a very dodgy ankle. hes a very good player but theres only diminishing returns from here.

But we are guaranteed a world-class striker in Kane, someone that can actually play football

Kane's a cracking player, don't get me wrong but I feel like Haaland would be a much, much better signing in the long term.

It looks like you don't rate Haaland at all so I don't really know what there is to discuss.

Not for me, a very good player but dealing with Levy, i would rather buy a player with a future than one with a past, and i recon Haaland and Kane will be around the same price, one with a sell on clause next season and one with his club desperate to sell but at Levy`s price, COVID will almost certainly reduce prices for years and who ever we buy will look like an overspend unless they spend years with us.

Kane is known as a great finisher & predator, but is also an absolutely superb passer with tremendous vision.

He really does seem like a good fit for our team. I can imagine he's not particularly fussed by Mourinho, and in return it seems likely Jose will push for a bunch of new players that suit his style.

Ankle problems aside, I have him down as 3 years or more left at the top no question. With his particular skills, he could be a lethal force well into his thirties, I remember seeing Forlan rip it up in his later years due to his passing range.

I would rather have Haaland as he haa better chance to develop and is less injury prone

Would take Haaland or Kane to be honest
Kane would be so hungry to win something
Would be a great buy for 2/3 years.

Kane would be a good fit as an alternative to Haaland. Obviously no future returns, Levy is hard to deal with and Kane seems to be a died in the wool Londoner, he also doesn't fit in with our age recruitment criteria so can't see it happening. Any player joining the Spuds should be aware of Levy's intransigence when wanting to better themselves/win trophies if things are not progressing at the Spuds.

I’d have Kane if Haaland fell through all day long.
You want a proper off-the-rails-crazy opinion? Here we go...Kane is an elite striker, but he's an astonishingly bad big game player. If Sterling frustrates you, then you would slit your wrists watching Kane play in a knockout round. He may have the raw numbers because he is still an elite finisher at the end of the day, but he's nothing like Kun. Reminds of that quote - "There are great goalscorers and then there are scorers of great goals. The truly world class players are the ones who are both". I might have pulled that out of my arse.

Don’t think he’ll leave Spurs. I think clubs will be looking at his age and injuries and decide £100m could be spent better elsewhere

In years to come Kane will look back at his career like Shearer and Le Tissier with a heavy dollop of regret about the moves he never made
I'm sure that is what they sit at home thinking about a lot.

Shearer all-time top goalscorer and living the dream by playing for the club he supported all his life, whilst sitting in a fuck off big mansion with a bank vault full of cash and still getting a TV gig on MOTD.

Regrets, I had fucking none whatsoever lol

One thing I would say is that Pep has improved practically every player so nothing to fear if Kane rocks up here. He'll bag goals against every kind of team when Pep waves his wand. We'll never be 'the Harry Kane team' while he's in charge.
