Harry Kane

Oof dunno about that. He's a damned good worker that kid. We could get someone like Felix tho. That would be big news. He's a wizard of sorts. Very intelligent and skilled.

But really? Hmm. Some said he wasn't a hard enough worker on the defensive side when Atletico signed him as a replacement for Griezmann. I don't know if that's changed - I doubt it. Surely the same problem arises if he replaces the workaholic Jesus.

I mean, it might make sense - Mahrez doesn't carry that much defensive load for the team, and is instead tasked with making the possession count.

Felix therefore could be played with Raz or someone else hardworking on the right rather than Mahrez? Ok.... but someone like Foden, KDB or Bernado would have to play a lot more at false nine.

A lot more.

The way I see it, not only does signing Kane allow us to play our normal game with very little alteration to patterns of play etc but means we also have someone who will get his head on crosses.

DeBruyne will have a field day if he doesn’t have to whip pinpoint crosses to players who are 5ft5.

We’ve not had that option since Dzeko.

He also scores pens and we’ve not had that option since Yaya/Mario

Barca can't afford to pay their current players, let alone sign someone on Haalands budget. Madrid only have eyes for Mbappé and Bayern aren't giving Dortmund £75m, they'd try to make him leave on a free but he won't want to stay for 3 more years.
Disagree, buying an asset that in reality is undervalued by at least 50M is amazing business for any club. Bayern would be all over it as Lewandowski's long term replacement. 75m euro's is fuck all in the grand scheme, a dozen clubs could afford that in a years time for a talent like Haaland, but Haaland would probably only entertain a handful of those.

As stated elsewhere, Kane would be our number 2 choice, probably being touted to push the Haaland's a little for the move.

I cannot see us releasing both of our strikers, just to get Kane in return, especially with his history of ankle injuries, so I believe Jesus going their way is a no-go.

I personally wouldn't want him, I understand he scores goals for a weaker team, but everything they provide goes through Kane. It is different with City, and would he be like a fish out of water playing our pressing game?

Just a thought. But if Kane arrives, wins the league next year, it will be Foden and others 4th EPL.

He goes to United, helps them to win it after a barren decade, it might mean more to him.

On the other hand, his chances of winning the league is significantly lower if he goes there, so he might still not win a trophy.

Sky are not the only outlet carrying the story. Spurs have responded with a bland statement a million miles away from a denial.
That Kane's is agitating to leave is pretty certain, how strong City's interest is compared with other potential targets is anyone's guess.

They will all echo each other now, and add to it with each re-telling. Runaway train. And others will speculate further to stay relevant.

You put any claim on a big yellow banner as breaking news and a rolling continuous line along the bottom, looks legit. But at this point so far off the window opening, 2 games left plus all 3 teams that would be interested focused on european finals, I'm calling premature half-baked rumour gone wild.

Spurs have no need to deny it. They simply put out a generic standard distancing comment.

Everyone will get use out of this. Spurs, us, kane himself, levy. Most of all the media. It is a rumour everyone is happy to see circulating. I expect it to fizzle out though.

I think it's the way of the world these days where once a player turns 26 they are seen as a less viable option. In 10 years time I look forward to the 'the problem is he's 22 years old' convos on here.
Absolutely and we can point to Fernandinho as a prime example of that, but was £30m.

I just think that £100m on a 28 year old is too much.
