Harry Kane

I would love to sign Kane he'd be great for us. I understand preference but some people are going out of their way to diminish Kane because they want Haaland. I'm wishing Txiki all the best because god help him if he can't get Haaland and dumps Kane on us ;)

Think Haaland particularly with his family connection to the club is what we will go for if he is available.

Don't get me wrong Kane if he can stay fit will make our side more competitive especially in those games we tend to drop like Leeds at home etc but we don't want another Kun as he has been in the past two seasons , we want the Kun of 2012-2019.

I think Torres can make the grade as a striker at the top of the elite level in England , its a question of whether Gab can take the next step.
I'd prefer the romance of Haaland. Or the statement of Mbappe. Or the craziness of Messi.

But from a practical perspective Kane would make sense for the next 3 seasons. And it would make sense for Torres to also be a striker. We have so many games.

My hope for Jesus is that he turns into a wide player. He is such a battler ... I'd hate him to leave.

Ankle injuries have about a 70 % recurrence rate..look how many times his ankles have gone..you lose what is called proprioception in the joint when you tear the ligaments..yes, you can retrain, but they are never the same..the joint becomes unstable and then you can get osteoarthritis as a consequence..Kane will be a crock, maybe not just now,but for sure in the future..I speak as an ex Doctor at two football clubs.

I am with you on Jesus

I am sure he started out as a winger and for me his best position is out wide.

He also is a right battler which Pep likes in his players

David Silva is a good example of this.

You'd have to assume that if City genuinely are making a move for Kane, then they'd be well aware of his injury record. Which means it's either been decided it's not a problem (most likely) or if it is then it's worth the risk.

The club aren't run by idiots.

As long as Haaland is a top priority I'm totally in for it. I will explain. Haaland must be our number one target because he is a player for a decade ahead, one of the best players in the world whose whole future lies ahead. If we do not manage to get Haaland, for one reason or another, and we go for Kane I will still be very, very happy. I would have preferred a younger striker but we talking about England's captain, the best striker in the league. He is worth 25 goals a season if he is fit. He has at least 3 very good years ahead of him

The money that Levy will demand will be ludicrous for a 28 year old. Anything over £80 for a player who wants to leave at that age is a no from me. Pay an extra £50m and get Haaland. Kane does not suit our style, our team is SCREAMING out for pace and Kane has none. He will end up at United as they will pay the silly money to calm the fans. Haaland all the way for me.

At least we'll discover what he buys his Mom.

Mail online headline: "£500,000-a-week England flop Kane shows off blinging house he bought for his mum - complete with jewel-encrusted bathroom - hours after flying home in disgrace from Euro 2020"
(Or maybe not? He is white after all)
He would all of a sudden become Flash Harry if he signed for us. The papers do fucking hate us.

I wonder what are the chances of getting Kane this summer and Haaland next? Probably zero chance considering the wages they'd both want but the thought makes my mouth water. Not quite the strength in depth of the Aguero/ Tevez/ Dzeko/ Balotelli days but it's a damn sight better than what we've had the last couple of years.

BBC Sport has been told conversations with the club resulted in a plea for him to 'become a Francesco Totti' - the Italian World Cup winner who rebuffed numerous transfer offers to spend his career at Roma.

Erm, yeah. Can see the similarities...

England's likely last 16 game against the runner up of France/Portugal/Germany is taking place 5 years to the day after that article by the way.

Gonna end up (Kane) at Chelsea who will offload one of their German flops as a result.

What if Haaland doesn't want to join?

Kane definitely does, his play this year has been ridiculous. Some assists would make KDB sit up and take notice. We don't counter attack as it is, we don't need pace. We need someone who will consistently bang in the chances we put on a plate.
