Harry Kane

can spurs afford to turn down city reported new offer of £120milion. a couple of things really
his age ? getting that amount of money for a 28 year old ?
2nd thing with or without kane would spurs be in the hunt for silverware

for me spurs are 6th or 7th at best and their boat sailed long ago
so £120million can be a game changer for spurs and the new manager

kane knows he needs a new club that is the next level up. a club going places and champions league football being nailed on every season. plus the chance of being in a team of his england team mates and could be england front line in the world cup
With the state of PSG, Barca, Spanish, Italian football, Levy could go crazy in a deadline day spree. Would they just pocket the money though? I've no idea. My stance on this transfer changes every few days because there's next to know info to go off, we just have to guess whether City are going to get close to what we think Spurs are asking. £130m or thereabouts seems reasonable given Lukaku, but can we afford that?

I saw today that Kane has not gone three consecutive league games without scoring in almost seven years.

I really don't think people are excited enough about how good this man could be if he clicks at City.
Probably because City fans are not convinced it's going to happen? I think it's 50/50.

the money is fine. we can afford it because of the stuff we have won under pep in prize money alone
look if united can spend £130million in this window then city can spend double that

Even if you were 25/75 about it, you should be buzzing. The thought of the EPL's greatest current goalscorer - a psychotic penalty taker and aerial threat, to boot - joining this City squad is just silly. If he was some foreign galactico with a daft haircut and a six-pack from the Spanish league, this place would be like The Wolf of Wall Street at the thought of signing someone with his attributes/stats.

Hey Marvin its a wonder your not falling over the way this thread is getting to you. Will he, will he not, we shall see. ;-)

Ricky Martin likes this post.

Well publically their stance is that he can go but at £150m or thereabouts. It's massive really that they are prepared to sell him. It all comes down to whether City can afford to pay £120m plus £20m in add-ons. It's probably that simple. The player will join for sure. No one else seems in this 'race'.

If Kane costs £140m, can we spend £180m net in the window? I would hope so. We've done more than that before, it's just that this time all the spending is on two players. It would be much easier if we could make a big-name sale. No offence to Spurs but I can't see any of the players they would like agreeing to go the other way. We've also got Aguero off the wage-bill so really I don't think there are any huge obstacles to doing this but I don't have much of an idea about City's finances. I am just thinking about what we've spent before in transfer windows and how powerful City would be if we did manage to sign him.
We will sell somebody, not sure who, but at least one of Bernardo or Jesus will go I reckon. Needs one leaving to for squad size anyway if Kane comes.

I am spinning. On the one hand I see a huge disparity between what we've bid and what would be required, and then I think to myself, Kane is a license to print money.

If he met with Nuno today, I would assume if he decides to stay we’ll hear about it in the next day or so. If it stays quiet that tells us he hasn’t changed his mind.

I can't see Kane changing his mind just because he had a meeting and talks with Nuno. Kane's heart is set on City and Pep. Especially now Grealish and the other England players are at City. If anything Kane will confirm his desire to leave Spurs to Nuno. Kane won't back out of a move to City now.
