BBC gossip suggesting City are not interested at this price and Utd can sign him for >=£75m
 
Looks like we are walking away from this one.
Way way too much money.
Let’s hope we get a repeat of the Sanchez deal for the rags.
 
Still think we will go for maguire as pep seems to really want him. With the likely transfer ban hitting us for two windows and players leaving this summer and around that time we still need a top CB.

100% this, we desperately need a commanding CB, Maguire is crazy money, but needs must and all that.

We would not pay the 75m for Dick vanDyke but that now looks like we missed a bargain

I personally think maguire would come on leaps and bounds under pep and he massively improves the rags if he goes there. I would imagine we would be his first choice as well
