Now we know the fee just match it & obviously Maguire will choose us over Utd. Then to really f*ck up Utd's plans lets buy Bruno Fernandes who looks a talent to me & loan him back to Sporting for a season then he can replace David in a years time

Spending £110m plus wages on two squad players who do not improve our first XI, just to ruin a mid-table teams plans is ridiculous.

And people will say it time and time again that we don’t have a free foreign space in the squad. Otamendi has a better injury record and is more physical so suits what we need so no chance we even replace otamendi with him.

Can’t help but feel a bit disappointed that we have missed out on maguire and in the process a rival has been strengthened. Worry about playing the physical sides next season.

Utd aren’t a rival and haven’t been for years.
