There is a god Barry's gone!!!
The more I see of the first goal the more I feel Joe could of done a lot better. I am all for counter attacking football but his quick pass to Silva gave him little or no time to get going and was pressured straight away. Now both players have some blame but Joe for me has more of the blame. Not only that but for the goal it self Joe could of done a lot better the ball wasnt too far from him and he was over that side of the goal he could of made a better go at trying to make the save his positioning was a bit iffy. I know I maybe nit picking but Joe has been getting lots of praise but there are times when the quick ball out isnt the right ball to play. No doubt about it he will learn from it in future but he needs to be a quick learner. He still has to prove that he is our number 1 but with Shay going maybe the pressure will ease and we see the best of Joe in the coming months.

Can't expect him to save a free header from 5 yards, Silva controls and gets that away 9 times out of 10 imo.

We're a team of midgets so getting it out quickly is important as we lose more punts than we win.

If Given had done what Hart did for the first goal people on here would have moaned to the hills about how he didn't come out and dominate the box. Hart, yet again, has gotten off lightly.

As for improving when the pressure was off. I was thinking the opposite, Given has played his last game for City, Hart has a lot to prove and to live up to the hype that has been set about him, which he hasn't done in a long time. Nothing near to convince me that he's the future of English football and all that. But with Given there he gets to learn from an experienced keeper and has all that pressure on him, when Given goes all that pressure to improve will go, and I think that's a bad thing because he'll get even more complacent.
THe indo today said that Given needs a move as for a top class keeper he's in a humiliating position, and they're right, he's not going to stay, I just hope the club treats him better than Bellamy and rewards him for all he's done for the club and let him go where he wants to, not screw him over.

I don't think that Yaya, VK ,Boatang, Alex K, kolo etc are midgets.

And what if that club is Arsenal or Spurs? You want him to join a club that is one of our rivals for a CL place? Let him earn them a few extra points and possibly see us miss out.

He shouldn't be allowed at a club that is likely to be challenging us in the PL or Europa League.

Paying almost 100,000/week for a 35-36 years old player, think the club couldn't treat him any better!

So better to ship him off to a relegation set side or down in another league? IF we thought he was that valueable we wouldn't have him as no.2. We've Hart after all. We can't have it both ways. Sadly.
It's clear he's not needed they haven't tried to keep him happy one bit whatsoever, a handful of games outside of the Premiership, clearly Mancini doesn't rate him enough. So why should they care where they send him. It would be sad to see Given drop down the leagues, just because he is seen as a threat.

It's not about the money. Clearly. If he was valued enough as a player he'd be starting instead of Hart, so why should we care where he goes. IF we valued him that much we'd start him. Simple as that.
