Hartlepool United v Torquay United, national league final / Hartlepool promoted

No. It is in Burslem

"Port Vale is one of the few English league clubs not to be named after a geographical location, their name being a reference to the valley of ports on the Trent and Mersey canal."

The only other team not named after a geographical location is Arsenal
But their original name was Woolwich Arsenal.
In "A Captains Tale" (starring Denis Waterman), the English team had a flag with WAFC on it.
And the Italian hosts thought they were Woolwich Arsenal FC.
They were in fact West Auckland FC.
An easy mistake to make I suppose.

I know of a club, not a million miles from Manchester, that doesn’t play in the location it takes its name from.

Oxford used to play in Headington, originally Headington United, now play in Blackbird Leys
