Newsnight proving difficult to influence editorially, unlike the digital News people.

Anyone see they pushed a complete non-story about Abu Dhabi to the lead? It dominated the News home page for most of monday.

No other outfit gave it more than a passing mention. By evening - having demoted multiple domestic political stories regarding Andy Burnham's appearance in front of the COVID enquiry to the bylines - the story was dropped unceremoniously.

It is glaringly obvious that Beeb's RW coterie of power brokers have more than a passing interest in the potential sale of the Telegraph.

And they clearly have far too much influence over content and news coverage.
