Has the Capital 1 Cup Final become the pivotal game of the season?

For me, the pivotal game of the season was the goalless draw with Villa. I just thought new manager bounce or not we should have won. It was the match where my faith in MP started to drain away.

Personally I think you're both missing the psychological impact of getting beat at Wembley - yesterday really was a nothing game, a win would have been a positive but a defeat was NOT a negative - that will definitely NOT be the case next weekend

Hope you are right.

i think this result will determine the rest of the season. win and it will spur us on to have a real go at the title and CL. loose and i feel the confidence will be low and we will face a struggle to finish top 4. and the result all depends on the starting 11. hart to play over willy. clichy to play over kolarov. 4-4-2!!

Delusional

I really don't get this 'it's not important for the club' lark. Of course it is! It's another trophy to put in the cabinet. It's a parade at the end of the season. Pictures, memories and most importantly (for the club) marketability!

For us fans we recognised it as the last trophy we'd won for 35 years! This is THE most important game of our season so far by a country mile!

I doubt we would have a parade for winning the league cup alone.

We need some speed and I can see why clichy would be picked over kol but we need some spirit more than that, some fight

Was that the game where DeBruyne missed a sitter from 2 yards out and Sterling was denied yet another stonewall penalty?

Pellegrini is that predictable i could probably tell you the team he will play and give you a full 90 minute rundown of exactly whats going to happen. Basically, everything we are hoping he wont do in the final he will do. Its not even being negative now, its being realistic. The guys an anus
