Has the Capital 1 Cup Final become the pivotal game of the season?

I really don't get this 'it's not important for the club' lark. Of course it is! It's another trophy to put in the cabinet. It's a parade at the end of the season. Pictures, memories and most importantly (for the club) marketability!

For us fans we recognised it as the last trophy we'd won for 35 years! This is THE most important game of our season so far by a country mile!

Would they have a parade if we won the league cup?

Absolutely this is the pivotal game not only of the season, but of the three years of Manuels time here.

His decision on who will play in goal will be the key.

If we lose then I fear the season could be an anti-climax.

True... :(

Was that the game where DeBruyne missed a sitter from 2 yards out and Sterling was denied yet another stonewall penalty?

And Sterling's point blank header hit the goalie in the head... That should have been 4-0

Think we all would take beating Liverpool and finishing fourth, don't think coming up to our most important few games of the season our form is shite, getting beat 5-1 aint going to help after tossing off the f,a, cup. and that's what he did, think we had more chance of the f,a, cup, than winning the Champions league.Or is pelly wanting to go out in a blaze of glory. !Another worrying thought, he has stated he is playing willy wonker, ( think ive spelt that wrong ).in the final Please PLEASE, don't let our season go tits up. !
I know the FA Cup was far more winable than CL but in the greater scheme of things these days it is small potatoes. I am a critic of Peller but can't really fault the guy on this score. However, not trying to integrate the young lads is a separate issue.

With Vinny back, and a rested team, I'm quietly confident that we bounce back, we did it last season after a run of poor form with 6 wins in a row.
Liverpool are there for the taking.
