Following the ITK scene is a bit like being in Blazing Saddles. When your favourite ITK turns out to be wrong, if your reaction might be "You lied to Mongo. Mongo angry now", then it isn't for you.
It you see yourself as a witch-finder general, destined to protect the gullible from the foul deceivers - you'll just end up looking like a maniac; so not for you either.

I am but a simple city fan and my observations re all this ITK malarky is.... some of it is made up, some of it is speculative, some of it is spot on. Even that which is spot on still may come unglued at the last moment. Now i love reading it and getting on board with the buzz etc, i can see for some its all a bit much. I dont care if someone is lying , or speculating or a deal goes pete tong at the last mo. i have never given an itk poster a hard time i am glad they are so entertaining. i also believe fuck all until it is on the os , but i love the entertainment value .. those who dont should swerve the whole thing as it clearly upsets some folk when things dont come off. whatever i hope the itkers keep posting .. i love thinking ooh milnerinho from getafe ( made up for example)... who the fuck is he... why would we sign him where does he play etc) love it so come on tolmie and ajay and worselyweb and all of you itkers ...we are waiting.
Anybody privy to the contract negotiations could be regarded as an ITK in the sense they might relay what they know on this forum and others prior to the club announcement.

In general Di Marzio is probably the best and most well connected when it comes to business on a whole. Wouldn't be surprised if he broke quite a few stories with all the moves that are going to be made.
Ballague is only good at providing more info on a situation. He's not been as reliable as he once was and comes off as real douchebag at times on his posts but still a decent follow.

Surprised Salford Paul's name hasn't been mentioned yet. Got quite a few "guesses" on incoming players right, back in the day, I seem to remember.

Agree with de niro, nobody really knows outside of a very select echelon within the club. The only way we would hear is at the other end so to speak, when the actions of that echelon are seen elsewhere, such as when we make an enquiry. Even then, who us to say what our real intension is? Could well be a decoy or throwing the media a bone.
Case in point, I used to work with a guy whose son i know for a fact still holds a position at city where he could potentially hear snippets, not specifically about transfers but in general. The only time I ever passed on something he said was to a few mods on here, I guess I got a little caught up in being 'itk' for once, regarding some players leaving a few years back, and that they would not go on tour to the USA with us. Turns out every single one did go on the tour, but they also all left the club that season. So, in summary, not worth passing on info in the main part as it can always change you have little control over it, and it can end up making you look like a wum. But I know this guy was legit and truly believed what he said, but even then it is not nailed on, ever.
