Have City dropped a clanger by selling Cole Palmer?

If he hadn't of scored ' that ' penalty half this thread wouldn't exsist. He's good, he's doing what he gets paid for but he's no footballing god. I like the guy and admire him for sticking his neck out and get far more minutes under his belt but at the end of the day, Pep knows what he's doing. Mostly.

Carragher mad me laugh last week.
Was dismissive of Haaland closing in on the 'fastest to 50 goals' record as he takes pens and Andy Cole didn't.

Then lauded Palmer for his impact at Chelsea, where he showed great character with his injury time (yeah you guessed it!!!) penalty.

It’s killing Carragher how much better we are than Liverpool. Just drink the scouse ****’s bitterness up. I love it.

I looked in on the game last night just as he was going on , thought we had sold the chavs messi for a minute , ridiculous fawning about him , the media are saying we have made a huge mistake and laughing at us , they wouldnt admit to that though

Kid trying hard in his first season does not make him messi

All I’ve see. So far is that he can take a pen. The hatred for city is astounding so any past player scoring against us is gonna be viewed as a messiah

I think Palmer is and will be a brilliant player, could have been KDB`s understudy, but even a KDB carrying an injury worked harder than Palmer, and that is his flaw which the Chelsea manager, being a total thug/animal will break. City letting him go to Chelsea was the best thing we could do for the development of the player, it is for this that City should be lauded, and maybe just maybe when or if Palmer puts right his failing he could come back.
