That was a great result, I can't remember us ever beating them there, we've had a poor record home and away against them for years.

We won there 3-1 in 2006/7, which more or less confirmed that we wouldn't be relegated. And we won there 1-0 with a late goal by Anelka over Christmas in one game during the couple of years when they were at Loftus Road - 2002/3 maybe?

So thre have been a couple of wins down there. We've tended to gift them an incredible number of points in games we should have won easily, though.

I went to that game, quality day out. Was boiling as well. Got my program signed by about 6 players, then had it nicked when I went for a piss.

And yes, I went mental when Vass scored too, it was a quality cool finish!

It was a good 'un, great weather down by the Thames and City ensuring that relegation wasn't going to happen.

I think that goal cemented my love for the Vass.
