In 1978, I was sat on a bar stool in a pub in Kidderminster, minding my own business, when Led Zeppelin's drummer John Bonham pulled up in his hot rod outside, came in and sat on the stool right next to me.

Well, I was gobsmacked as I was a huge Zeppelin fan, he ordered a pint and was half way through it when I said "Hello John"

He immediately got up, finished the rest of his drink in one gulp, said "Fuck off" and walked out.

What a guy......:)

Wish I had a quid for everytime I've heard this story ;-)

Was on the same flight from Dublin as James, chatted to Tim & the rest of the band for an hour or so at the airport beforehand, Jim glennie is a real blue too! Larry Gott was in my class at college.

You'd have 2 quid now!
:-)

Walked past Simon Le Bon in London one time.

Chatted to Elvis in Gorton Tesco last year.

Was in Dublin for my cousin's 40th bithday and we were in the hotel bar at the end of the night when James Brown and his band came in from a gig they'd been doing. That was a bit surreal.

Had a cup of tea with Alan Price at Oldham Carnival many years ago. Nice guy.
