Have you got your 5 songs for your funeral ??

I will need to think about it. None of my friends nor family would tolerate five songs though. Two maybe, three max.

I've always thought "Your Silent Face" by New Order would be one, in part due to the last line "You caught me at a bad time / So why don't you piss off."

And Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."
Especially when the first one is the full length run through of Quadraphenia Foggy.........

I love that record but it’s not exactly me — I like it for its Englishness. But maybe I’d do with “The Rock”, my second favo(u)rite instrumental of all time after “La Villa Strangiato.”

If drunken promises from 20 years ago mean anything I'll not be needing any songs.

Couple of mates "promised" to raid the funeral home, nick by body, stick it in one of those big wicker hamper things along with a load of rocks, tie it all up securely, and then sling it in the local reservoir.

Sorted!
Jobs a good 'un!

Plus added bonus of possibly becoming a future "cold case" for the coppers to never solve.
What's not to like? ;)

Flower - the charlatans
Last goodbye - Jeff Buckley
A different place - Ride
How soon is now - the smiths
Forever autumn - Jeff Wayne / Justin Hayward

For me.
And Nothing Is For Ever - The Cure
Waltzing Along - James
All I'm Saying - James
I Am The Resurrection - The Stone Roses
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen
That Cure song is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard and I struggle to listen to it. I should add that I like the Cure too!

Harry Chapin; Remember When The Music (Reprise version from the Sequel album)
Blue Moon; The Marcels
Getting Away With It; Johnny Marr
Comfortably Numb; Pink Floyd
The Show Must Go On; Queen
(I was gonna have These Are the Days of Our Lives, but after the Harry Chapin opener, it'd be too morbid)
