Forgive me if this has been covered already?

But have fan's who don't live abroad, or don't belong to any supporters branch actually been given the chance to have a picture taken with the FA Cup? Is so when? as I've obviously missed this.

I'm not usually one for this sort of thing, but our first bit of serious silver for 35 years and I want to at least touch it. I'd happily pay in all honesty. As I say sorry if this has been covered already.

Not sure where you are from Blue Lloyd but keep your eye on the postings about supporters branches having the FA Cup at their branch meetings and I am sure that you will be welcome at one or other of them. From what I can gather they seem to be letting non OS members come along. Also if you contact the stadium shop they have been having it there at times. I was there last week and they were using green screen technology so that it could appear that you were holding it with one of the players or some such. Not sure how long, it did say a limited time only on the leaflet that was put in my shopping bag. 0161 444 1894 for the shop enquiries.

*whispers* I am lucky enough to have had mine taken 3 times, once at the AGM of the OS and twice in Dublin, once with Mike Summerbee and once with Tony Book. Sorry!!

Not sure if OS is the correct term now but basically Supporters Clubs!!

Yes - it was in the shop last weekend

<a class="postlink" href="http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2011/September/Green-screen-at-City-Store" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2011/S ... City-Store</a>

It was £10 a pic of 3 for £20.

You were able to have your Pic taken with it if you did the City tour over the Bank Holiday weekend, was there from the Friday to the Monday. Booked on it with my two lads specifically for this as we'd done the tour a few times already. It was advertised on the OS but it didn't make it clear that the cup was only there over the Bank Hol weekend.

It wasn't in the glass case that they use when on display in the shop and we were allowed to hold it but not lift it up. They'd told us over the phone that we wouldn't be allowed to touch it. Dublin Cup was there as well. It was a bit weird though because they had the cups on display in a room off the home changing room, think it was the physio's room or similar. Expected it to be on a grand display somewhere rather than this but not complaining.

I went on the tour the Thursday before the Bank Holiday weekend and by pure luck Sharon the photographer was doing some work pitch side with the cup and a bloke with his daughter. Just as we were about to move on she came down towards the tunnel and one of the group asked if he could have his photo with it and the G4 man duly obliged and we all managed to get a shot with it. Having been going for 27 years, needless to say this was a good day!

It was being taken around City Square in the bars before the Swansea game and the guys who chaperoned it would take a picture of you with it for a donation towards the charity they were supporting.

Very good idea!

I did the tour for my Birthday in early July, ad was disappointed it wasn't in the shop (it was in America on tour), so when I heard it was back I went down and got a pic with it , albeit in the glass case.

went into work for the Wimbledon promotion game that was held at coms at the end of the season.and peter fletcher (he aint that much of a bad bloke) brought it down to show us.and i was lucky enough to get my hands on it.

It tends to tour the country whilst the prelim rounds of the FA Cup are under way. It was at Newton Aycliffe for the Extra prelim round as this was the 1st time Newton Aycliffe had played in the competition. Luckily, i was assistant and therefore able to get my picture with it.

That's right - had a photo taken with it - doubt it was the real one though -
