Haydock Park - Pub Breakfast Help

Hello all,

Just looking into booking my bro's stag doo and he fancies the races. Doesn't want to travel too far so looks like it will be Haydock. For anyone that has been before, can you recommend any pubs on the way that i could book out for a breakfast?

Also, is it best to head straight for Haydock or nip into St Helens and then travel upto the course later on?

A few of the Lads at work are from this area - Haydock, Newton etc and they are stumped and cant think of anything. It may have to be a Weatherspoons or something in St Helens town centre.
 
A touch further but would Chester not be the better option? Given it's smack in the middle of a city centre,you can't go wrong.I've been on a couple of stag do' there and had great times.
 
There is a Pub in Newton le willows that advertises this. I will be passing it today so I will get the name and number and reply back to this thread. There is also a big pub on the east lancs at stonecross next to macdonalds which you could try. I will have a look for you today, but I would go to Chester if I were you.
 
try the pied bull in newton, 1 min drive from haydock, never had food in there but been in for a pint, its alright and if you dont fancy the food there is a butty shop over the road

Was at Haydock's suites for the missus's works do at Christmas, and before it, we all met at a large pub right near the entrance to the drive up to Haydock Park. Can't remember it's name, but it did do food. (it was a Brewer's Fayre type place)
