Which is clearly bollocks.

That is why he said argue. Which is a fair assessment as at times the game could have gone either way. It also suggest every other match in his opinion deserved to be a home victory, without even debate.
hull came closer to a result, so arguably did palace

Did they fuck !! Palace had a few shots from outside of the area.Hull huffed and puffed and played some nice football up until they got onto our 18 yard box.Liverpool could very easily have come away with three points, both this season and last. For me by far and away the best team to have played some nice attractive football at our home.

The best performance by an opposition team this year was Liverpool. Further more we won by one clear goal and they had a legitimate one disallowed. Lawrenson is right it could be argued either way.

Palace played a makeshift City team and had a few speculative efforts from distance but sat camped in their half for the majority of the game to keep the score down.

hull had me worried, if they'd finished off some of the clear cut chances they created, we would have been in big trouble before negredo scored, never too worried against Liverpool, always felt we would outscore them

They were brilliant in the 2-2 draw last year with the combination play and movement of Sturridge and Suarez outstanding.

Hull played some nice football granted and Huddleston was immense, but I just felt that LFC were once again the best team to come to ours, especially as they were top at the time and we were fortunate with that linesman giving that offside decision in our favour when Sterling was clearly onside.

They always raise their game a notch or two when they play us

I don't think we were fortunate, if the game had been refereed properly we would have been playing against 10 men with a couple if penalties, difference of opinion I suppose.

Lawro is a turd

Last night on MOTD he said the team under Mancini would have lost at Newcastle and then quickly said we were not a team under Mancini.

This about a team that reduced an 8 point deficit to win the title.

This from a bloke who has had a cushy number sat on his arse just talking about football without the pressure of actually managing a team.

He failed as a manager allegedly because of Maxwell. He should know better than to slag other managers off.

Like I said he is a turd

Not true since Hart saw the flag and heard the whistle and stopped playing. Sterling put through after all of of this (and could have been booked for it) however I agree with the rest of your post, Liverpool pushed us harder than anyone else at home so far and it was a close game.
I actually like Lawrenson and don't get all the hate directed at him.

Think he meant the Mancini from last season not the title winning team.

Lets hope we do continue to make the right signings. The biggest mistake we have made since the takeover other than not sacking clueless earlier was not bringing in the right players in 11/12 close season.

We missed a trick then and it's something we must never repeat.

I'm sure with the current management team - Pellegrini, Sorano and Begiristain - we will continue to bring in the right players not only to maintain our current position but to increase our dominance both domestically and improve our standing in Europe.

Hmmmmmmm.

Blackburn 16:1 to win??? Very tempting to put a cheeky £60 on Blackburn. We win and I lose sixty quid, but get to look forward to Wembley. And should the unthinkable happen and we lose, I get a grand in compensation. Sounds like a plan :-)
