Help - photo opportunity with players - maybe leaving training etc

Hi - hope someone can help or has some good advise
We live in Boston USA and are travelling back to England for Christmas. My son follows Man City all the time from over here and I thought it would be cool if he could have his picture taken, get autographs etc with his favorite players.
Does anyone know if there is a way to have photos taken with the payers, maybe as they leave training or is there an alternative way he could get to meet or have his photo taken with some of the players.
Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would contact the Club mate because a good place to have photos taken with the players is the CFA but you have to have permission to enter there

You have no chance on a match day mate ,the players drive their cars like formula 1 cars through the waiting kids.
If you go across to the players entrance at the CFA you may get the odd player stopping and leaning out of a car for a photo.
Unfortunately the players have little or no contact with the fans.
If you stay behind after the match at the glass entrance you can meet all the city legends bell,sumerbee book Corrigan booth lee etc and either the sky or BT pundits if it's on tele.
Sad to say you have more chance of meeting Rio Ferdinand than a current city player ,and for what it's worth Rio is fine with the kids.

My wife got a photo with Zabba outside the ground. I think it was against Wigan in the cup 5-0?
He wasn't playing that night.
 
After a game you can either wait outside the entrance where the players come out (outside the running stadium) and some will stop etc. Other chance is obviously outside the CFA gates after training which is your better bet.

Not 100% that everyone or most will stop but a few do.

They have put railings up along that stretch and lined the road with security to stop you approaching the cars.all cars are forced to turn right at the bottom of that road is a 90°left turn if you throw your kids in the road there is a slight chance a car may stop to see if they have run them over.quite frankly the players are a disgrace with the fans on a match day .

Really? Wow didn't know that. Haven't been that way since last season and players used to stop as they came out onto the road
 
A lot depends on the player. Stones, Caballero, Zabaleta and Kompany are your best bets. Navas too, but he doesn't speak a word of English, which can make things tricky.

Your right about navas he always used to stop and sign unless he had his baby with him ,vin always used to stop but he hasn't for a while
 
Thanks for all the feedback - its much appreciated.
We are only back in UK for Christmas and New year and the schedule is crap as both games we could have attended are away! - not sure how that happens, that's why I thought of going to the training ground. I contacted the club and they said the only time it was possible to meet/photo op with the players would be at a book signing etc.
I will call again and ask about the CFA

You can have your lad sat on the bonnet of Franny Lees Daimler Sovereign

Or get a picture with all the players stood in front of the mark 1 transit crew

Cab Van with the wooden bench seats inside............well circa50 years ago!


If one of the games had been in London you could have tried stockport train

station. The players maybe doing some local charity event as it's xmas or a

City in the Community event as an option or maybe crash a wedding party?
