Help with dodgy PC please..

Ok, I keep being diverted from whatever website I on to advertisement sites and web pages keep opening by themselves.

This is the third time iv tried to post due to being bleeding diverted, really annoying me now.

I have checked all my internet setting and deleted any rubbish that was on the computer and its still happening.

Can any help?

My pop up blocker is on, but its not really pop ups im getting, I just keep getting diverted away from the page im viewing!

Downloaded firefox and so far so good, but windows explorer keeps opening on its own to show me advertisement websites!

Oh well at least I got the most important one sorted! Thank again for the advice and links!

IE pages usually keep loading on their own when you have been infected by spyware or malware.

Download Spybod S&D and run it. It will get rid of any spyware that may be hiding on your PC.

I'd recommend the AVG antivirus I linked to. It includes anti-spyware so any adware running on your PC is deleted by it. It's also completely free.

it wont find all spyware though...avg is good at what it does ...anti virus!!


spybot will deep scan and find the original registry entries too...some of the spy/malware written now adays is quite clever....they write a "run once" registry line into the spyware, which basically means every time you remove it, it will "run once" via the registry and restart the spy/malware

Haha, I downloaded the spybot and its running now, looks like there is a load of adware and warez(?) on it! Thanks again, im crap with computers.
