I coach an Under 14s Div One team playing in the Disley area and we are raising funds for a tour of either the Netherlands or Belgium at the end of this or the season after, depends how we go on raising money really.

We have made some enquiries but to be honest have found that we would be going to some of these tournaments and playing English teams which sort of defeats the objective for me.

Has anyone had any experience of a tour company where you would play local teams only or even any Blues who live in one of these countries and have involvement with a local Under 14 team.

Cheers in advance.

Did you get any help with this? My lads play in the local leagues in Holland (in Zoetermeer, near The Hague), or at least, they did. They may have moved on by now. My little girl still does though. If you like, I can ask for a contact for you. I guess when you have one team contact who is interested, they can contact others.

Let me know.

There used to be a tournement every April in Belgium school sides from all over the UK and the continent. I went in the mid eighties and everyone was based in the seaside town Blankenberg. Couldn't tell you if it's still going but I will try and contact someone who may know

Just had a look and there is a travel company specializing in what you are looking for called R&T tours.

Cheers, that sounds a good starting point.I think if I can get just 2/3 other teams and us we could do a mini tournament over 2 days.Even if its a league of Under 14 teams I can contact maybe they could put a note out.

We will be Under 15s at the end of next season.

Think I will also try the Supporters Clubs over there to see if they have any contacts or better still kids that play at our age group.

I took my lads (U13's at the time) to the Easter Open in Holland:

Really well ran and we played teams from Germany, Holland, and Norway; accommodation was top notch too.

Used this company many times for tours to Holland and Belgium as well as the Uk.
Will organise a tour to suit your requirements.
